Farfetch'd 27/102 · Base

Base is a set in the Base series. It was released on January 9, 1999. The printed size is 102, and the checklist is the same length. Farfetch'd is 27/102, in position 27 of 102 on this checklist. Before it is 26 Dratini, and after it is 28 Growlithe. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Farfetch'd is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 50 HP. The card lists level 20. In the Pokédex this is Farfetch’d (#083), generation 1 (Kanto). The card lists Sirfetch'd under evolves to.

Ken Sugimori illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,112 other cards in the catalog.

Farfetch’d (#083) has 19 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Farfetch'd 40/130 in Base Set 2 (2000). Both list 50 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. 16 other cards of Farfetch’d list a different HP.

The attack Leek Slap lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does nothing. Either way, you can't use this attack again as long as Farfetch'd stays in play (even putting Farfetch'd on the Bench won't let you use it again). Pot Smash is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "The sprig of green onions it holds is its weapon. This sprig is used much like a metal sword."

I keep a set binder for Base, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Base set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Farfetch’d can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
