Dark Slowbro 8/110 · Legendary Collection

Legendary Collection is a set in the Other series. It was released on May 24, 2002. The printed size is 110, and the checklist is the same length. Dark Slowbro is 8/110, in position 8 of 110 on this checklist. Before it is 7 Dark Raichu, and after it is 9 Dark Vaporeon. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Dark Slowbro is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 27. In the Pokédex this is Slowbro (#080), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Slowpoke. In this catalog that name is Slowpoke (#079).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Slowbro (#080) has 26 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Slowbro 43/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Slowbro, while this one is Dark Slowbro. Both list 60 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare Holo. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 22 other cards of Slowbro list a different HP.

Reel In is listed as Pokémon Power. When you play Dark Slowbro from your hand, choose up to 3 Basic Pokémon and/or Evolution cards from your discard pile and put them into your hand. The attack Fickle Attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic. Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does nothing. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It loves nothing better than to be left alone, and so sometimes ends up being manipulated by unscrupulous people."

I keep a set binder for Legendary Collection, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Legendary Collection set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Slowbro can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards and Team Rocket cards. I still need this card.
