Rocket's Sneasel 5/9 · Best of Game

Best of Game is a set in the Other series. It was released on December 1, 2002. The printed size is 9, and the checklist is the same length. Rocket's Sneasel is 5/9, in position 5 of 9 on this checklist. Before it is 4 Rocket's Scizor, and after it is 6 Dark Ivysaur. The listed rarity is Promo.

Rocket's Sneasel is a Basic Darkness Pokémon with 60 HP. In the Pokédex this is Sneasel (#215), generation 2 (Johto).

Katsura Tabata illustrated this card. The same name is on 35 other cards in the catalog.

Sneasel (#215) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Sneasel 25/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card is named Sneasel, while this one is Rocket's Sneasel. Both list 60 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Promo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Katsura Tabata illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Sneasel list a different HP.

The attack Entrap lists no damage number. The cost is Darkness. The Defending Pokémon can't retreat during your opponent's next turn. Continuous Scratch is another attack lists 10× damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip 4 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -30. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for Best of Game, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Best of Game set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Sneasel can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon and Team Rocket cards. I still need this card.
