Zebstrika 42/114 · Black & White

Zebstrika is Pokédex #523, generation 5 (Unova). Zebstrika is a Stage 1 Lightning Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Blitzle. In this catalog that name is Blitzle (#522).

Zebstrika sits at 42/114 in Black & White, position 42 of 115. Before it is 41 Blitzle, and after it is 43 Zebstrika. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on April 25, 2011. The printed size is 114. This checklist is longer, at 115 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Stomp lists 20+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 more damage. Wild Charge is another attack lists 70 damage. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Colorless. This Pokémon does 10 damage to itself. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This ill-tempered Pokémon is dangerous because when it's angry, it shoots lightning from its mane in all directions."

Zebstrika (#523) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Zebstrika 43/114 in Black & White (2011). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Uncommon. Masakazu Fukuda illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Zebstrika list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Black & White set binder is where a full Black & White set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Zebstrika can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
