Klinklang 77/108 · Dark Explorers

Klinklang is Pokédex #601, generation 5 (Unova). Klinklang is a Stage 2 Metal Pokémon with 140 HP. The card says it evolves from Klang. In this catalog that name is Klang (#600).

Klinklang sits at 77/108 in Dark Explorers, position 77 of 111. Before it is 76 Klang, and after it is 78 Pawniard. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on May 9, 2012. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 111 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

The attack Metal Blast lists 20+ damage. The cost is Colorless. Does 20 more damage for each Metal Energy attached to this Pokémon. Lock Gear is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless, Colorless. Draw cards until you have 6 cards in your hand. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "The gear with the red core is rotated at high speed for a rapid energy charge."

Klinklang (#601) has 9 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Klinklang 76/114 in Black & White (2011). Both list 140 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Hajime Kusajima illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 4. 5 other cards of Klinklang list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hajime Kusajima. I count 206 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dark Explorers set binder is where a full Dark Explorers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Klinklang can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
