Beautifly 8/124 · Dragons Exalted

Dragons Exalted is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on August 15, 2012. The printed size is 124. This checklist is longer, at 128 cards. Beautifly is 8/124, in position 8 of 128 on this checklist. Before it is 7 Silcoon, and after it is 9 Cascoon. The listed rarity is Rare.

Beautifly is a Stage 2 Grass Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Beautifly (#267), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Silcoon. In this catalog that name is Silcoon (#266).

Akira Komayama illustrated this card. The same name is on 239 other cards in the catalog.

Beautifly (#267) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Beautifly 2/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and Akira Komayama illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Beautifly list a different HP.

The attack Triple Energy lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Search your deck for 3 different types of basic Energy cards and attach them to your Pokémon in any way you like. Shuffle your deck afterward. Drainpour is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Heal 40 damage from each of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Despite its looks, it is aggressive. It jabs with its long, thin mouth if disturbed while collecting pollen."

I keep a set binder for Dragons Exalted, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dragons Exalted set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Beautifly can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
