Crustle 85/149 · Boundaries Crossed

Boundaries Crossed is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on November 7, 2012. The printed size is 149. This checklist is longer, at 153 cards. Crustle is 85/149, in position 85 of 153 on this checklist. Before it is 84 Dwebble, and after it is 86 Mienfoo. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Crustle is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Crustle (#558), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Dwebble. In this catalog that name is Dwebble (#557).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Crustle (#558) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Crustle 7/101 in Noble Victories (2011). Both list 100 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare Holo. Naoyo Kimura illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Crustle list a different HP.

Sturdy is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon has full HP and would be Knocked Out by damage from an attack, this Pokémon is not Knocked Out and its remaining HP becomes 10 instead. The attack Stone Edge lists 70+ damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 more damage. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "When its boulder is broken in battles for territory, it feels unsure and begins to weaken."

I keep a set binder for Boundaries Crossed, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Boundaries Crossed set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Crustle can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
