Dodrio 100/135 · Plasma Storm

Dodrio is Pokédex #085, generation 1 (Kanto). Dodrio is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Doduo. In this catalog that name is Doduo (#084).

Dodrio sits at 100/135 in Plasma Storm, position 100 of 138. Before it is 99 Doduo, and after it is 101 Snorlax. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on February 6, 2013. The printed size is 135. This checklist is longer, at 138 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Raging Pecks lists 30× damage. The cost is Colorless. Flip 3 coins. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads. This Pokémon is now Confused. Drill Peck is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "When Doduo evolves into this odd breed, one of its heads splits into two. It runs at nearly 40 mph."

Dodrio (#085) has 18 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2024. The earliest other card is Dodrio 34/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and kawayoo illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Dodrio list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads kawayoo. I count 209 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Plasma Storm set binder is where a full Plasma Storm set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Dodrio can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
