Kirlia 60/135 · Plasma Storm

Plasma Storm is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on February 6, 2013. The printed size is 135. This checklist is longer, at 138 cards. Kirlia is 60/135, in position 60 of 138 on this checklist. Before it is 59 Ralts, and after it is 61 Gallade. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Kirlia is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Kirlia (#281), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Ralts. In this catalog that name is Ralts (#280). The card lists Gardevoir, Gardevoir (#282) and Gallade, Gallade (#475) under evolves to.

Mizue illustrated this card. The same name is on 184 other cards in the catalog.

Kirlia (#281) has 31 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Kirlia 34/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Mizue illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Kirlia list a different HP.

The attack Psy Bolt lists 20 damage. The cost is Psychic. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "If its Trainer becomes happy, it overflows with energy, dancing joyously while spinning about."

I keep a set binder for Plasma Storm, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Plasma Storm set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kirlia can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
