Zoroark BW09/101 · BW Black Star Promos

BW Black Star Promos is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on March 1, 2011. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. Zoroark is BW09/101, in position 9 of 101 on this checklist. Before it is BW08 Oshawott, and after it is BW10 Axew. The listed rarity is Promo.

Zoroark is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Zoroark (#571), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Zorua. In this catalog that name is Zorua (#570).

Naoki Saito illustrated this card. The same name is on 270 other cards in the catalog.

Zoroark (#571) has 40 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Zoroark BW19/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). Both list 100 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 32 other cards of Zoroark list a different HP.

The attack Nasty Plot lists no damage number. The cost is Darkness. Search your deck for a card and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. Foul Play is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Choose 1 of the Defending Pokémon's attacks and use it as this attack. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Each has the ability to fool a large group of people simultaneously. They protect their lair with illusory scenery."

I keep a set binder for BW Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the BW Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Zoroark can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
