Crobat BW51/101 · BW Black Star Promos

Crobat is Pokédex #169, generation 2 (Johto). Crobat is a Stage 2 Team Plasma Psychic Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Golbat. In this catalog that name is Golbat (#042).

Crobat sits at BW51/101 in BW Black Star Promos, position 51 of 101. Before it is BW50 Tropical Beach, and after it is BW52 Lillipup. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on March 1, 2011. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

Night Sight is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may draw a card. The attack Ultra-Toxic Fang lists 40 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. The Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned. Put 4 damage counters instead of 1 on that Pokémon between turns. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. The flavor text reads "Having four wings allows it to fly more quickly and quietly so it can sneak up on prey without its noticing."

Crobat (#169) has 37 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Crobat 4/64 in Neo Revelation (2001). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Shin-ichi Yoshida illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 25 other cards of Crobat list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BW Black Star Promos set binder is where a full BW Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Crobat can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
