Kyogre 3/25 · Celebrations

Kyogre is Pokédex #382, generation 3 (Hoenn). Kyogre is a Basic Water Pokémon with 130 HP.

Kyogre sits at 3/25 in Celebrations, position 3 of 25. Before it is 2 Reshiram, and after it is 4 Palkia. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on October 8, 2021. The printed size is 25, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Aqua Storm lists no damage number. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Discard the top 5 cards of your deck, and then choose 2 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. This attack does 50 damage for each Energy card you discarded in this way to each of those Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Surf is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "It is said to have widened the seas by causing downpours. It had been asleep in a marine trench." The regulation mark is E.

Kyogre (#382) has 32 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Kyogre ex 1/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Kyogre ex, while this one is Kyogre. That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Hiromichi Sugiyama illustrated that card, and Ryuta Fuse illustrated this one. 27 other cards of Kyogre list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ryuta Fuse. I count 98 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Celebrations set binder is where a full Celebrations set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kyogre can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
