Skarmory 31/95 · Call of Legends

Call of Legends is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on February 9, 2011. The printed size is 95. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. Skarmory is 31/95, in position 31 of 106 on this checklist. Before it is 30 Pidgeot, and after it is 32 Slowking. The listed rarity is Rare.

Skarmory is a Basic Metal Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Skarmory (#227), generation 2 (Johto).

Midori Harada illustrated this card. The same name is on 352 other cards in the catalog.

Skarmory (#227) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Skarmory 13/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Midori Harada illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 29 other cards of Skarmory list a different HP.

The attack Steel Coat lists no damage number. The cost is Metal. Search your deck for a Metal Energy card and attach it to 1 of your Pokémon. Shuffle your deck afterward. Razor Wing is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Metal, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "After nesting in bramble bushes, the wings of its chicks grow hard from scratches by thorns."

I keep a set binder for Call of Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Call of Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Skarmory can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
