Seviper 51/95 · Call of Legends

Call of Legends is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on February 9, 2011. The printed size is 95. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. Seviper is 51/95, in position 51 of 106 on this checklist. Before it is 50 Riolu, and after it is 52 Vaporeon. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Seviper is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Seviper (#336), generation 3 (Hoenn).

Wataru Kawahara illustrated this card. The same name is on 35 other cards in the catalog.

Seviper (#336) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Seviper 11/100 in Sandstorm (2003). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and Wataru Kawahara illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Seviper list a different HP.

The attack Poison Buildup lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Seviper is now Poisoned. Poison Effect is another attack lists 20+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. If Seviper is Poisoned, this attack does 20 damage plus 60 more damage and remove the Special Condition Poisoned from Seviper. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "In battle, it uses its bladed tail to counter any Zangoose. It secretes a deadly venom in its tail."

I keep a set binder for Call of Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Call of Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Seviper can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
