Team Magma's Aggron 14/34 · Double Crisis

Double Crisis is a set in the XY series. It was released on March 25, 2015. The printed size is 34, and the checklist is the same length. Team Magma's Aggron is 14/34, in position 14 of 34 on this checklist. Before it is 13 Team Magma's Lairon, and after it is 15 Team Magma's Groudon-EX. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Team Magma's Aggron is a Stage 2 Fighting Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Aggron (#306), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Team Magma's Lairon. In this catalog that name is Lairon (#305).

TOKIYA illustrated this card. The same name is on 93 other cards in the catalog.

Aggron (#306) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Aggron 1/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card is named Aggron, while this one is Team Magma's Aggron. That card lists 110 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and TOKIYA illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Aggron list a different HP.

The attack Rock Stomp lists 40× damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless. Discard as many Fighting Energy attached to your Pokémon as you like. This attack does 40 damage times the amount of Fighting Energy you discarded. Boulder Storm is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. This attack does 20 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon that has any damage counters on it. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "Aggron's metal horns can smash through any defenses, no matter how strong!"

I keep a set binder for Double Crisis, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Double Crisis set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Aggron can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon and Team Aqua and Team Magma. I still need this card.
