Team Aqua's Mightyena 18/34 · Double Crisis

Double Crisis is a set in the XY series. It was released on March 25, 2015. The printed size is 34, and the checklist is the same length. Team Aqua's Mightyena is 18/34, in position 18 of 34 on this checklist. Before it is 17 Team Magma's Poochyena, and after it is 19 Team Magma's Mightyena. The listed rarity is Common.

Team Aqua's Mightyena is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Mightyena (#262), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Team Aqua's Poochyena. In this catalog that name is Poochyena (#261).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Mightyena (#262) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mightyena 10/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card is named Mightyena, while this one is Team Aqua's Mightyena. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Common. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Mightyena list a different HP.

The attack Teampact lists 30× damage. The cost is Water, Colorless. Flip a coin for each Team Aqua Pokémon you have in play. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads. Crunch is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, discard an Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Thanks to Mightyena's outstanding leadership, it's very good at combination attacks that can leave a foe helpless."

I keep a set binder for Double Crisis, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Double Crisis set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mightyena can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards, Trainer's Pokémon, and Team Aqua and Team Magma. I still need this card.
