Lairon 53/123 · Mysterious Treasures

Lairon is Pokédex #305, generation 3 (Hoenn). Lairon is a Stage 1 Metal Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 32. The card says it evolves from Aron. In this catalog that name is Aron (#304). The card lists Aggron, Aggron (#306) under evolves to.

Lairon sits at 53/123 in Mysterious Treasures, position 53 of 124. Before it is 52 Happiny, and after it is 54 Magmar. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on August 1, 2007. The printed size is 123. This checklist is longer, at 124 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Mend lists no damage number. The cost is Metal. Search your discard pile for a Metal Energy card and attach it to Lairon. If you do, remove 2 damage counters from Lairon. Confront is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless. Weakness is Fire +20. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "For food, it digs up iron ore. It smashes its steely body against others to fight over territory."

Lairon (#305) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Lairon 36/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Midori Harada illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 16 other cards of Lairon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Midori Harada. I count 352 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Mysterious Treasures set binder is where a full Mysterious Treasures set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lairon can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
