Tropius 64/123 · Mysterious Treasures

Tropius is Pokédex #357, generation 3 (Hoenn). Tropius is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 28.

Tropius sits at 64/123 in Mysterious Treasures, position 64 of 124. Before it is 63 Shieldon, and after it is 65 Unown [E]. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on August 1, 2007. The printed size is 123. This checklist is longer, at 124 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Bonus Leaf lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Remove 3 damage counters from each of your Benched Pokémon that has any Grass Energy attached to it. Whirlwind is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Your opponent switches the Defending Pokémon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Fire +20. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Because it continually ate only its favorite fruit, the fruit started growing around its neck."

Tropius (#357) has 19 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2026. The earliest other card is Tropius 27/101 in Hidden Legends (2004). Both list 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Uncommon. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Kazuyuki Kano illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Tropius list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kazuyuki Kano. I count 26 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Mysterious Treasures set binder is where a full Mysterious Treasures set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Tropius can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
