Lugia 14/132 · Secret Wonders

Lugia is Pokédex #249, generation 2 (Johto). Lugia is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 90 HP. The card lists level 43.

Lugia sits at 14/132 in Secret Wonders, position 14 of 132. Before it is 13 Ludicolo, and after it is 15 Mew. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on November 1, 2007. The printed size is 132, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

The attack Silver Wing lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, choose an Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon and return it to your opponent's hand. Psychic Destruction is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon has any Energy cards attached to it, this attack's base damage is 40 instead of 120. Weakness is Psychic +20. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It sleeps in a deep-sea trench. If it flaps its wings, it is said to cause a 40-day storm."

Lugia (#249) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lugia 9/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). Both list 90 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Hironobu Yoshida illustrated that card, and Kazuyuki Kano illustrated this one. 35 other cards of Lugia list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kazuyuki Kano. I count 26 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Secret Wonders set binder is where a full Secret Wonders set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lugia can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
