Weavile 40/132 · Secret Wonders

Secret Wonders is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on November 1, 2007. The printed size is 132, and the checklist is the same length. Weavile is 40/132, in position 40 of 132 on this checklist. Before it is 39 Unown [S], and after it is 41 Wormadam Plant Cloak. The listed rarity is Rare.

Weavile is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 30. In the Pokédex this is Weavile (#461), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Sneasel. In this catalog that name is Sneasel (#215).

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Weavile (#461) has 20 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Weavile 40/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). Both list 80 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Naoyo Kimura illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Weavile list a different HP.

Dark Engage is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this power. Each of your Active Pokémon's type is Darkness until the end of your turn. If that Pokémon is no longer your Active Pokémon, this effect ends. The attack Shadow Charge lists no damage number. Search your deck for up to 2 Darkness Energy cards and attach them to any of your Pokémon in any way you like. Shuffle your deck afterward. Chip Off is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness. If your opponent has 6 or more cards in his or her hand, discard a number of cards without looking until your opponent has 5 cards left in his or her hand. Weakness is Metal +20. The flavor text reads "They live in cold regions, forming groups of four or five that hunt prey with impressive coordination."

I keep a set binder for Secret Wonders, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Secret Wonders set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Weavile can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
