Raichu 8/100 · Stormfront

Stormfront is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on November 1, 2008. The printed size is 100. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. Raichu is 8/100, in position 8 of 106 on this checklist. Before it is 7 Mismagius, and after it is 9 Regigigas. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Raichu is a Stage 1 Lightning Pokémon with 90 HP. The card lists level 45. In the Pokédex this is Raichu (#026), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Pikachu. In this catalog that name is Pikachu (#025).

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Raichu (#026) has 70 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 52 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Raichu 14/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 55 other cards of Raichu list a different HP.

The attack Slice lists 30 damage. Raichu can't use Slice during your next turn. Split Ball is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Move an Energy card attached to Raichu to 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Burst Ball is another attack lists 100 damage. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Colorless. Discard 3 Energy attached to any of your Pokémon in any way you like. Weakness is Fighting +20. Resistance is Metal -20.

I keep a set binder for Stormfront, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Stormfront set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Raichu can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
