Raichu LV.X 99/100 · Stormfront

Stormfront is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on November 1, 2008. The printed size is 100. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. Raichu LV.X is 99/100, in position 99 of 106 on this checklist. Before it is 98 Machamp LV.X, and after it is 100 Regigigas LV.X. The listed rarity is Rare Holo LV.X.

Raichu LV.X is a Level-Up Lightning Pokémon with 110 HP. The card lists level X. In the Pokédex this is Raichu (#026), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Raichu. In this catalog that name is Raichu (#026).

Ryo Ueda illustrated this card. The same name is on 462 other cards in the catalog.

Raichu (#026) has 70 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 52 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Raichu 14/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Raichu, while this one is Raichu LV.X. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo LV.X. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Ryo Ueda illustrated this one. 65 other cards of Raichu list a different HP.

Link Lightning is listed as Poké-Body. Once during your turn, when you put Raichu LV.X onto Raichu and use Voltage Shoot, you may use another attack of Raichu afterward. This power can't be used if Raichu is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Voltage Shoot lists no damage number. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Colorless. Discard 2 Lightning Energy cards from your hand and choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 80 to that Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Metal -20. The card text says: Put this card onto your Active Raichu. Raichu LV.X can use any attack, Poké-Power, or Poké-Body from its previous level.

I keep a set binder for Stormfront, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Stormfront set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Raichu can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Pikachu's friends and Pokémon LV.X. I still need this card.
