Mime Jr. DP22/56 · DP Black Star Promos

Mime Jr. is Pokédex #439, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Mime Jr. is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 40 HP. The card lists level 5.

Mime Jr. sits at DP22/56 in DP Black Star Promos, position 22 of 56. Before it is DP21 Raichu, and after it is DP23 Glameow. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on May 1, 2007. The printed size is 56, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

Baby Evolution is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may put Mr. Mime from your hand onto Mime Jr. (this counts as evolving Mime Jr.) and remove all damage counters from Mime Jr. The attack Mime lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Shuffle your hand into your deck. Then, draw a number of cards equal to the number of cards in your opponent's hand. Weakness is Psychic +10. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It habitually mimics foes. Once mimicked, the foe cannot take its eyes off this Pokémon."

Mime Jr. (#439) has 5 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 4 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Mime Jr. 90/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). Both list 40 HP. The rarity there is Common, and here it is Promo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 4 other cards of Mime Jr. list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Mitsuhiro Arita. I count 721 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

DP Black Star Promos set binder is where a full DP Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mime Jr. can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards and Baby Pokémon. I still need this card.
