Rayquaza 11/20 · Dragon Vault

Dragon Vault is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on October 5, 2012. The printed size is 20. This checklist is longer, at 21 cards. Rayquaza is 11/20, in position 11 of 21 on this checklist. Before it is 10 Latios, and after it is 12 Axew. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Rayquaza is a Basic Dragon Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Rayquaza (#384), generation 3 (Hoenn).

5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Rayquaza (#384) has 59 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 30 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Rayquaza ex 39/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Rayquaza ex, while this one is Rayquaza. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Ryo Ueda illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 3. 49 other cards of Rayquaza list a different HP.

The attack Dragon Pulse lists 40 damage. The cost is Lightning. Discard the top 2 cards of your deck. Shred is another attack lists 90 damage. The cost is Fire, Lightning, Colorless. This attack's damage isn't affected by any effects on the Defending Pokémon. Weakness is Dragon ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "It lives in the ozone layer far above the clouds and cannot be seen from the ground."

I keep a set binder for Dragon Vault, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dragon Vault set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Rayquaza can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
