Hitmonchan ex 98/109 · Ruby & Sapphire

Hitmonchan (#107) has 21 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2023. The earliest other card is Hitmonchan 7/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Hitmonchan, while this one is Hitmonchan ex. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Hiromichi Sugiyama illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Hitmonchan list a different HP.

The attack Steady Punch lists 10+ damage. The cost is Fighting. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 10 more damage. Sky Uppercut is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. This attack's damage is not affected by Resistance. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Ruby & Sapphire, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Ruby & Sapphire set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Hitmonchan can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
