Jynx 28/115 · Unseen Forces

Jynx is Pokédex #124, generation 1 (Kanto). Jynx is a Basic Water Pokémon with 70 HP.

Jynx sits at 28/115 in Unseen Forces, position 30 of 145. Before it is 27 Ho-Oh, and after it is 29 Lugia. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on August 1, 2005. The printed size is 115. This checklist is longer, at 145 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Stages of Evolution is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Jynx is an Evolved Pokémon, prevent all effects of opponent's attacks, except damage, done to Jynx, and Jynx has no Weakness. The attack Freeze Light lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. If tails, the Defending Pokémon is now Burned. Pure Power is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Water, Psychic, Colorless. Put 4 damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

Jynx (#124) has 26 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Jynx 31/102 in Base (1999). Both list 70 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Yukiko Baba illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 19 other cards of Jynx list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Yukiko Baba. I count 151 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Unseen Forces set binder is where a full Unseen Forces set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Jynx can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
