Kingler δ 22/100 · Crystal Guardians

Kingler is Pokédex #099, generation 1 (Kanto). Kingler δ is a Stage 1 Fire Metal Pokémon with 80 HP. The card says it evolves from Krabby. In this catalog that name is Krabby (#098).

Kingler δ sits at 22/100 in Crystal Guardians, position 22 of 100. Before it is 21 Igglybuff, and after it is 23 Loudred. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on August 1, 2006. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Body Slam lists 30 damage. The cost is Metal, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Prop-up Pinchers is another attack lists 40+ damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless. If Kingler has a Pokémon Tool card attached to it, this attack does 40 damage plus 40 more damage. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: This Pokémon is both Fire Metal type.

Kingler (#099) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2023. The earliest other card is Kingler 38/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Kingler, while this one is Kingler δ. That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 8 other cards of Kingler list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Masakazu Fukuda. I count 471 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Crystal Guardians set binder is where a full Crystal Guardians set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kingler can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Delta Species cards. I still need this card.
