Swampert 27/100 · Crystal Guardians

Crystal Guardians is a set in the EX series. It was released on August 1, 2006. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. Swampert is 27/100, in position 27 of 100 on this checklist. Before it is 26 Pelipper δ, and after it is 28 Venusaur. The listed rarity is Rare.

Swampert is a Stage 2 Fighting Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Swampert (#260), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Marshtomp. In this catalog that name is Marshtomp (#259).

Hisao Nakamura illustrated this card. The same name is on 71 other cards in the catalog.

Swampert (#260) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2021. The earliest other card is Swampert 13/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 110 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Hisao Nakamura illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 14 other cards of Swampert list a different HP.

Echo Draw is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may draw a card. This power can't be used if Swampert is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Rock Hurl lists 60 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. This attack's damage isn't affected by Resistance. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2.

I keep a set binder for Crystal Guardians, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Crystal Guardians set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Swampert can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
