Vigoroth 41/108 · Power Keepers

Power Keepers is a set in the EX series. It was released on February 2, 2007. The printed size is 108, and the checklist is the same length. Vigoroth is 41/108, in position 41 of 108 on this checklist. Before it is 40 Vibrava, and after it is 42 Aron. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Vigoroth is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Vigoroth (#288), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Slakoth. In this catalog that name is Slakoth (#287). The card lists Slaking, Slaking (#289) under evolves to.

Hajime Kusajima illustrated this card. The same name is on 206 other cards in the catalog.

Vigoroth (#288) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Vigoroth 47/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). Both list 70 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Hajime Kusajima illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Vigoroth list a different HP.

Strikes Back is listed as Poké-Body. If Vigoroth is your Active Pokémon and is damaged by an opponent's attack (even if Vigoroth is Knocked Out), put 1 damage counter on the Attacking Pokémon. The attack Ambush lists 20+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 damage plus 20 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for Power Keepers, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Power Keepers set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Vigoroth can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
