Lunatone 8/100 · Sandstorm

Sandstorm is a set in the EX series. It was released on September 18, 2003. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. Lunatone is 8/100, in position 8 of 100 on this checklist. Before it is 7 Ludicolo, and after it is 9 Mawile. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Lunatone is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 60 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lunatone (#337), generation 3 (Hoenn).

Hajime Kusajima illustrated this card. The same name is on 206 other cards in the catalog.

Lunatone (#337) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2005 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lunatone 36/107 in Deoxys (2005). Both list 60 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare Holo. Kyoko Umemoto illustrated that card, and Hajime Kusajima illustrated this one. 12 other cards of Lunatone list a different HP.

Lunar Eclipse is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), if Solrock is in play, you may use this power. Until the end of your turn, Lunatone's type is Darkness. This power can't be used if Lunatone is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Cosmic Draw lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. If your opponent has any Evolved Pokémon in play, draw 3 cards. Lunar Blast is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for Sandstorm, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Sandstorm set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lunatone can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
