Golem 5/97 · Dragon

Dragon is a set in the EX series. It was released on November 24, 2003. The printed size is 97. This checklist is longer, at 100 cards. Golem is 5/97, in position 5 of 100 on this checklist. Before it is 4 Flygon, and after it is 6 Grumpig. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Golem is a Stage 2 Fighting Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Golem (#076), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Graveler. In this catalog that name is Graveler (#075).

Hisao Nakamura illustrated this card. The same name is on 71 other cards in the catalog.

Golem (#076) has 25 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Golem 36/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare Holo. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Hisao Nakamura illustrated this one. 24 other cards of Golem list a different HP.

The attack Rock Vengeance lists 20+ damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. Does 20 damage plus 10 more damage for each damage counter on all of your Active Pokémon. Rock Slide is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Does 20 damage to 2 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon (1 if there is only 1). (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 4.

I keep a set binder for Dragon, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dragon set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Golem can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
