Grookey on the Ball 3/5 · Pokémon Futsal Collection

Grookey is Pokédex #810, generation 8 (Galar). Grookey on the Ball is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 60 HP.

Grookey on the Ball sits at 3/5 in Pokémon Futsal Collection, position 3 of 5. Before it is 2 Eevee on the Ball, and after it is 4 Scorbunny on the Ball. The set belongs to the Other series. It was released on September 11, 2020. The printed size is 5, and the checklist is the same length.

The attack Tenacious Defense lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. During your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokémon can't retreat. Razor Leaf is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Grass, Grass, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "When it uses its special stick to strike up a beat, the sound waves produced carry revitalizing energy to the plants and flowers in the area." The regulation mark is D.

Grookey (#810) has 9 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2019 to 2024. The earliest other card is Grookey SWSH001/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos (2019). That card is named Grookey, while this one is Grookey on the Ball. Both list 60 HP. kirisAki illustrated that card, and The Pokémon Company Art Team illustrated this one. 2 other cards of Grookey list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads The Pokémon Company Art Team. I count 15 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Pokémon Futsal Collection set binder is where a full Pokémon Futsal Collection set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Grookey can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Galar starters and Flower Pokémon. I still need this card.
