Generations is a set in the XY series. It was released on February 22, 2016. The printed size is 83. This checklist is longer, at 117 cards. Flareon-EX is RC6/83, in position 91 of 117 on this checklist. Before it is RC5 Charizard, and after it is RC7 Snorunt. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

Flareon-EX is a Basic EX Fire Pokémon with 170 HP. In the Pokédex this is Flareon (#136), generation 1 (Kanto).

Atsuko Nishida illustrated this card. The same name is on 408 other cards in the catalog.

Flareon (#136) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Flareon 3/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Flareon, while this one is Flareon-EX. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 170 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Atsuko Nishida illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 37 other cards of Flareon list a different HP.

Flash Fire is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Fire Energy from 1 of your Pokémon to this Pokémon. The attack Blaze Ball lists 50+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage for each Fire Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Generations, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Generations set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Flareon can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
