Ursaring 27/95 · HS—Unleashed

Ursaring is Pokédex #217, generation 2 (Johto). Ursaring is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Teddiursa. In this catalog that name is Teddiursa (#216).

Ursaring sits at 27/95 in HS—Unleashed, position 27 of 96. Before it is 26 Tyranitar, and after it is 28 Cherrim. The set belongs to the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on May 12, 2010. The printed size is 95. This checklist is longer, at 96 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Confront lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless. Cross Chop is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 50 damage plus 30 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "With its ability to distinguish any aroma, it unfailing finds all food buried deep underground."

Ursaring (#217) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2022. The earliest other card is Ursaring 15/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Naoyo Kimura illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 13 other cards of Ursaring list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

HS—Unleashed set binder is where a full HS—Unleashed set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ursaring can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
