Raichu 83/90 · HS—Undaunted

HS—Undaunted is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on August 18, 2010. The printed size is 90. This checklist is longer, at 91 cards. Raichu is 83/90, in position 83 of 91 on this checklist. Before it is 82 Houndoom, and after it is 84 Scizor. The listed rarity is Rare Prime.

Raichu is a Stage 1 Prime Lightning Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Raichu (#026), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Pikachu. In this catalog that name is Pikachu (#025).

Takashi Yamaguchi illustrated this card. The same name is on 18 other cards in the catalog.

Raichu (#026) has 70 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 52 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Raichu 14/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Prime. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Takashi Yamaguchi illustrated this one. 66 other cards of Raichu list a different HP.

Voltage Increase is listed as Poké-Power. As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Lightning Energy attached to 1 of your Pokémon to Raichu. This power can't be used if Raichu is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Mega Thunderbolt lists 120 damage. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Colorless. Discard all Energy attached to Raichu. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Metal -20. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for HS—Undaunted, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the HS—Undaunted set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Raichu can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
