Dratini 9/12 · McDonald's Collection 2018

Dratini is Pokédex #147, generation 1 (Kanto). Dratini is a Basic Dragon Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists Dragonair, Dragonair (#148) under evolves to.

Dratini sits at 9/12 in McDonald's Collection 2018, position 9 of 12. Before it is 8 Magnemite, and after it is 10 Chansey. The set belongs to the Other series. It was released on October 16, 2018. The printed size is 12, and the checklist is the same length.

The attack Signs of Evolution lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Search your deck for a Dratini, a Dragonair, and a Dragonite, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck. Tail Smack is another attack lists 10 damage. The cost is Lightning. Weakness is Fairy ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "After a 10-hour struggle, a fisherman was able to pull one up and confirm its existence."

Dratini (#147) has 30 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Dratini 26/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 40 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Naoyo Kimura illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 24 other cards of Dratini list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoyo Kimura. I count 256 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

McDonald's Collection 2018 set binder is where a full McDonald's Collection 2018 set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Dratini can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
