Lapras 5/12 · McDonald's Collection 2019

McDonald's Collection 2019 is a set in the Other series. It was released on October 15, 2019. The printed size is 12, and the checklist is the same length. Lapras is 5/12, in position 5 of 12 on this checklist. Before it is 4 Alolan Sandshrew, and after it is 6 Pikachu.

Lapras is a Basic Water Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lapras (#131), generation 1 (Kanto).

Saya Tsuruta illustrated this card. The same name is on 123 other cards in the catalog.

Lapras (#131) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 36 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lapras 10/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Saya Tsuruta illustrated this one. 43 other cards of Lapras list a different HP.

The attack Aqua Bullet lists 20 damage. The cost is Water. This attack does 20 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Hydro Pump is another attack lists 70+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 10 more damage times the amount of Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "These Pokémon were once near extinction due to poaching. Following protective regulations, there is now an overabundance of them."

I keep a set binder for McDonald's Collection 2019, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the McDonald's Collection 2019 set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lapras can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
