Chimchar 12/25 · McDonald's Collection 2021

Chimchar is Pokédex #390, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Chimchar is a Basic Fire Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists Monferno, Monferno (#391) under evolves to.

Chimchar sits at 12/25 in McDonald's Collection 2021, position 12 of 25. Before it is 11 Torchic, and after it is 13 Tepig. The set belongs to the Other series. It was released on February 9, 2021. The printed size is 25, and the checklist is the same length.

The attack Fury Swipes lists 10× damage. The cost is Colorless. Flip 3 coins. This attack does 10 damage for each heads. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "The gas made in its belly burns from its rear end. The fire burns weakly when it feels sick."

Chimchar (#390) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Chimchar 76/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 12 other cards of Chimchar list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

McDonald's Collection 2021 set binder is where a full McDonald's Collection 2021 set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Chimchar can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
