Smeargle 15/15 · McDonald's Collection 2022

Smeargle is Pokédex #235, generation 2 (Johto). Smeargle is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 80 HP.

Smeargle sits at 15/15 in McDonald's Collection 2022, position 15 of 15. The card before it is 14 Drampa. The set belongs to the Other series. It was released on August 3, 2022. The printed size is 15, and the checklist is the same length.

The attack Live Painting lists 30+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Reveal any number of basic Energy cards from your hand. This attack does 30 more damage for each type of basic Energy you revealed in this way. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It draws symbols with the fluid that oozes from the tip of its tail. Depending on the symbol, Smeargle fanatics will pay big money for them." The regulation mark is E.

Smeargle (#235) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Smeargle 32/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 40 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. Tomokazu Komiya illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 13 other cards of Smeargle list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

McDonald's Collection 2022 set binder is where a full McDonald's Collection 2022 set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Smeargle can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
