Marill 232/217 · Ascended Heroes

Marill is Pokédex #183, generation 2 (Johto). Marill is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP.

Marill sits at 232/217 in Ascended Heroes, position 232 of 295. Before it is 231 Iono's Wattrel, and after it is 233 Misdreavus. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on January 30, 2026. The printed size is 217. This checklist is longer, at 295 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 217. The listed rarity is Illustration Rare.

The attack Hide lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, during your opponent's next turn, prevent all damage from and effects of attacks done to this Pokémon. Flop is another attack lists 20 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "The oil-filled tail functions as a buoy, so it’s fine even in rivers with strong currents." The regulation mark is J.

Marill (#183) has 25 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Marill 29/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Illustration Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Rond illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Marill list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Rond. I count 3 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Ascended Heroes set binder is where a full Ascended Heroes set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Marill can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
