Mightyena 243/217 · Ascended Heroes

Mightyena is Pokédex #262, generation 3 (Hoenn). Mightyena is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Poochyena. In this catalog that name is Poochyena (#261).

Mightyena sits at 243/217 in Ascended Heroes, position 243 of 295. Before it is 242 Carbink, and after it is 244 Cynthia's Spiritomb. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on January 30, 2026. The printed size is 217. This checklist is longer, at 295 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 217. The listed rarity is Illustration Rare.

The attack Kick Away lists 50 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Switch out your opponent's Active Pokémon to the Bench. (Your opponent chooses the new Active Pokémon.) Sharp Fang is another attack lists 130 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It will always obey the commands of a skilled Trainer. Its behavior arises from its living in packs in ancient times." The regulation mark is H.

Mightyena (#262) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mightyena 10/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Illustration Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Yano Keiji illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 20 other cards of Mightyena list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Yano Keiji. I count 8 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Ascended Heroes set binder is where a full Ascended Heroes set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mightyena can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
