Grimmsnarl is Pokédex #861, generation 8 (Galar). Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex is a Stage 2 ex Darkness Pokémon with 320 HP. The card says it evolves from Marnie's Morgrem. In this catalog that name is Morgrem (#860).
Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex sits at 287/217 in Ascended Heroes, position 287 of 295. Before it is 286 N's Zoroark ex, and after it is 288 Fezandipiti ex. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on January 30, 2026. The printed size is 217. This checklist is longer, at 295 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 217. The listed rarity is Special Illustration Rare.
Punk Up is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon during your turn, you may search your deck for up to 5 Basic Darkness Energy cards and attach them to your Marnie's Pokémon in any way you like. Then, shuffle your deck. The attack Shadow Bullet lists 180 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness. This attack also does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is I.
Grimmsnarl (#861) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2019 to 2025. The earliest other card is Grimmsnarl V SWSH057/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos (2019). That card is named Grimmsnarl V, while this one is Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex. That card lists 220 HP, and this one lists 320 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Special Illustration Rare. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Ligton illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is I. 11 other cards of Grimmsnarl list a different HP.
The illustrator line reads Ligton. I count 15 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.
Ascended Heroes set binder is where a full Ascended Heroes set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Grimmsnarl can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon, Special Illustration Rares, and Marnie and her Pokémon. I still need this card.
