Golbat 50/86 · Chaos Rising

Chaos Rising is a set in the Mega Evolution series. It was released on May 22, 2026. The printed size is 86. This checklist is longer, at 122 cards. Golbat is 50/86, in position 50 of 122 on this checklist. Before it is 49 Zubat, and after it is 51 Crobat. The listed rarity is Common.

Golbat is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Golbat (#042), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Zubat. In this catalog that name is Zubat (#041).

Mousho illustrated this card. The same name is on 12 other cards in the catalog.

Golbat (#042) has 24 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Golbat 34/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Common. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Mousho illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Golbat list a different HP.

The attack Covert Flight lists 30 damage. The cost is Darkness. During your opponent's next turn, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks from Basic Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It loves to drink other creatures' blood. It's said that if it finds others of its kind going hungry, it sometimes shares the blood it's gathered." The regulation mark is J.

I keep a set binder for Chaos Rising, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Chaos Rising set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Golbat can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
