Morpeko ex 102/84 · Pitch Black

Morpeko is Pokédex #877, generation 8 (Galar). Morpeko ex is a Basic ex Darkness Pokémon with 180 HP.

Morpeko ex sits at 102/84 in Pitch Black, position 102 of 120. Before it is 101 Mega Darkrai ex, and after it is 103 Mega Excadrill ex. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on July 17, 2026. The printed size is 84. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 84. The listed rarity is Ultra Rare.

The attack Wheely Draw lists no damage number. The cost is Darkness. Shuffle your hand into your deck. Then, draw 6 cards. Hangry Blaster is another attack lists 40+ damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness. This attack does 40 more damage for each damage counter on this Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is J.

Morpeko (#877) has 36 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2019 to 2026. The earliest other card is Morpeko SWSH012/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos (2019). That card is named Morpeko, while this one is Morpeko ex. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Ultra Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is J. 34 other cards of Morpeko list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Pitch Black set binder is where a full Pitch Black set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Morpeko can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). I still need this card.
