Wobbuffet 35/75 · Neo Discovery

Wobbuffet is Pokédex #202, generation 2 (Johto). Wobbuffet is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. The card lists level 46.

Wobbuffet sits at 35/75 in Neo Discovery, position 35 of 75. Before it is 34 Ursaring, and after it is 36 Yanma. The set belongs to the Neo series. It was released on June 1, 2001. The printed size is 75, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Counter lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. If an attack damages Wobbuffet during your opponent's next turn (even if Wobbuffet is Knocked Out), flip a coin. If heads, Wobbuffet attacks the Defending Pokémon for an equal amount of damage. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "To keep its pitch-black tail hidden, it lives quietly in the darkness. It is never first to attack."

Wobbuffet (#202) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2025. The earliest other card is Wobbuffet 16/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. 18 other cards of Wobbuffet list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hironobu Yoshida. I count 38 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Neo Discovery set binder is where a full Neo Discovery set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Wobbuffet can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
