Dark Espeon 4/105 · Neo Destiny

Espeon is Pokédex #196, generation 2 (Johto). Dark Espeon is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 32. The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Dark Espeon sits at 4/105 in Neo Destiny, position 4 of 113. Before it is 3 Dark Donphan, and after it is 5 Dark Feraligatr. The set belongs to the Neo series. It was released on February 28, 2002. The printed size is 105. This checklist is longer, at 113 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

The attack Gouge lists 10+ damage. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 10 more damage; if tails, this attack does 10 damage. Psysplash is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Does 10 damage to each of your opponent's Pokémon for each Energy card attached to that Pokémon. Don't apply Weakness and Resistance. Weakness is Psychic ×2. The flavor text reads "The tips of its split tail quiver whenever it uses its psychic abilities to read its opponent's next move."

Espeon (#196) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Espeon 1/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card is named Espeon, while this one is Dark Espeon. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. 39 other cards of Espeon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Atsuko Nishida. I count 408 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Neo Destiny set binder is where a full Neo Destiny set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Espeon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions and Team Rocket cards. I still need this card.
