Steelix is Pokédex #208, generation 2 (Johto). Steelix GL is a Basic SP Metal Pokémon with 110 HP. The card lists level 38.

Steelix GL sits at 51/111 in Rising Rivals, position 51 of 120. Before it is 50 Starmie, and after it is 52 Tropius. The set belongs to the Platinum series. It was released on May 16, 2009. The printed size is 111. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Mend lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Search your discard pile for a Metal Energy card and attach it to Steelix GL. If you do, remove 1 damage counter from Steelix GL. Squeeze is another attack lists 30+ damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage plus 50 more damage and the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 4.

Steelix (#208) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2025. The earliest other card is Steelix 15/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card is named Steelix, while this one is Steelix GL. Both list 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Hajime Kusajima illustrated this one. 30 other cards of Steelix list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hajime Kusajima. I count 206 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Rising Rivals set binder is where a full Rising Rivals set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Steelix can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
