Lapras-GX 151/149 · Sun & Moon

Lapras is Pokédex #131, generation 1 (Kanto). Lapras-GX is a Basic GX Water Pokémon with 190 HP.

Lapras-GX sits at 151/149 in Sun & Moon, position 152 of 173. Before it is 150 Lurantis-GX, and after it is 152 Espeon-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 149. This checklist is longer, at 173 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 149. The listed rarity is Rare Rainbow.

The attack Collect lists no damage number. The cost is Water. Draw 3 cards. Blizzard Burn is another attack lists 160 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water. This Pokémon can't attack during your next turn. Ice Beam-GX is another attack lists 100 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Paralyzed. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Lapras (#131) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 37 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lapras 10/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Lapras, while this one is Lapras-GX. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 190 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Rainbow. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 47 other cards of Lapras list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Sun & Moon set binder is where a full Sun & Moon set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lapras can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
