Yuka Morii illustrated this card. The same name is on 204 other cards in the catalog.

Metapod (#011) has 18 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Metapod 54/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Common, and here it is Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Yuka Morii illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 13 other cards of Metapod list a different HP.

The attack Iron Defense lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks during your opponent's next turn. Bug Bite is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "Its shell is filled with its soft innards. It doesn't move much because of the risk it might carelessly spill its innards out."

I keep a set binder for Sun & Moon, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Sun & Moon set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Metapod can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Yuka Morii clay cards. I still need this card.
