Alolan Dugtrio 87/149 · Sun & Moon

Dugtrio is Pokédex #051, generation 1 (Kanto). Alolan Dugtrio is a Stage 1 Metal Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Alolan Diglett. In this catalog that name is Diglett (#050).

Alolan Dugtrio sits at 87/149 in Sun & Moon, position 87 of 173. Before it is 86 Alolan Diglett, and after it is 88 Skarmory. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 149. This checklist is longer, at 173 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Tangling Hair is listed as Ability. Your opponent's Active Pokémon's Retreat Cost is Colorless more. The attack Dig Under lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 50 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This damage isn't affected by Weakness or Resistance. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Its shining gold hair provides it with protection. It's reputed that keeping any of its fallen hairs will bring bad luck."

Dugtrio (#051) has 30 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Dugtrio 19/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Dugtrio, while this one is Alolan Dugtrio. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Holo. Keiji Kinebuchi illustrated that card, and match illustrated this one. 28 other cards of Dugtrio list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads match. I count 143 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Sun & Moon set binder is where a full Sun & Moon set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Dugtrio can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Alolan forms. I still need this card.
